Atlanta, GA (January 12, 2018) The Brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated extend our sincere and heartfelt prayers in the passing of Dr. Bernice I. Sumlin, 19th International President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Brother Antonio F. Knox, Sr., 40th Grand Basileus stated, "Dr. Sumlin was a stellar leader whose dynamic and progressive leadership empowered global communities forward. We are praying for her family and the members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated."

Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. was founded on November 17, 1911, at Howard University in Washington, D.C., and is the first international fraternal organization to be founded on the campus of a historically black college.
