Omega Psi Phi Answers The Call to Assist St. Jude Hospital
Annual Fundraising Efforts Ramped Up In Chapters Across the Nation

Atlanta, GA (January 17, 2018) Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. has begun its fourth year of partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the world’s leading facility for pediatric treatment and research focused on children's catastrophic diseases. Stellar and highly committed doctors and researchers continue to lead the way in medical advancements and treatment protocols. They work tirelessly, ensuring that the world understands their efforts to treat and defeat childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. There is an 80% cure rate at St. Jude and 40% of the patients are African Americans.

Brother Antonio F. Knox, Sr., 40th Grand Basileus stated, “Omega has set a goal of raising $50,000 and Brother Al White, International Social Action Chairman and his team have been working since October 2017 with focused efforts on college football classics, homecoming celebrations and now, the NFL playoffs to raise funds in support of this effort. We will end the campaign with the Big Game on Super Bowl Sunday, February 4, 2018. I ask that each Brother, chapter, and district participate in this worthy program with your strong financial support and donations.”

Information has been forwarded to each Chapter with instructions on how to support this lifesaving initiative. “Brothers, St. Jude is a wonderful answer to prayers for the families of children with cancer. The expenses are absorbed and families have the awesome privilege to remain debt free while receiving the best care, alleviating them from the financial burden. Cancer is hard enough and families should be worry free and totally focused on helping their loved ones. I look forward to your outstanding participation and support of this fundraising effort.”
